We’ve been under flood alerts for as long as I can remember….OK a couple weeks. Flood Alert It’s pretty crazy to see. These pictures are actually from a few weeks ago when the lake was at its fullest (and these pictures are just amazing!!). When I was there this past weekend it had gone down significantly. If you haven’t been here I don’t know if you’ll understand the full impact of how high the water was. It was CRAZY. The beach was completely gone. The lifeguard towers, completely submerged. They have temporary ramps to the floating dock because the regular ramps are completely underwater. Usually the floating dock is one large loop…not right now, the stair tower is under water so you have to walk back the way you walk in. The boat launch is closed because the ramps to the docks are under water. And now we have another Flood Statement.

Luckily, I’m on higher land. Close to the Hayden Lake but still pretty dry. Or so I thought. I went out yesterday morning to water my plants and one of them was flooded. I seriously almost cried. From what I can tell the rain gutter is clogged (stupid management company) and it overflowed and completely flooded my one planter. I will have to transplant it to see if it’ll come back. It was so beautiful so I really hope I can salvage it.
