OK, so April’s showers didn’t bring my flowers but it’s May and I do have flowers. LOL
My parents sent me money for my birthday that I was supposed to use for pedicure, but I decided today that I wanted flowers more. So, I went to Lowe’s and they had great prices. So, THANKS MOM & DAD!
I brought them home (along with the super large jumbo heavy bag of potting soil) and planted them. My back hurts but they look pretty. Here are some pictures.
This is walking up to my front door. The three round ones are hanging pots but I need someone to come help me put some more hooks up before I can hang them. For now, they’ll stay there. LOL
This is looking out the front door. (duh)
Not sure if you can see them but there are a few pots that look like there is nothing in them. They have some seeds that I started. My neighbors insisted I keep them because they might still grow. I didn’t have anything else to put in them so I left them. We’ll see.
I was going to put some on the back patio but it gets so dang hot back there and the sun is so strong (direct western sun exposure) that I’m afraid they won’t survive. I might move some back there later, though…we’ll see.
Are you impressed? I know I am.
And, to impress you even more. LOL Here’s what I have in my kitchen window. (But, you have to hear the story to really appreciate these.)
The one on the right I bought last year. I seriously thought I’d murdered it. The thing had one tiny little thing left and I almost tossed it. But, I was determined and look at it now.
WooHoo! The other one…I started that from SEEDS. Yes, you read that right. Those were seeds a month ago and now it’s a gorgeous Basil plant. Rock on me!
Are you thoroughly impressed? I am. I do have another plant I need to transplant but that will wait…I’m clean now and don’t feel like digging in the dirt any more today.
Till later…
this green thumb is going to go cool off (I think it’s about 95 here today — but NO I’m NOT complaining!)

Beautiful, it sure brightens a person’s day when they can look out and see gorgeous flowers.
You are welcome for the gift.
Love
Mom
