I had to run some errands today. I wanted to pick up some pots that they had at Big Lots for a great price. I wanted to make sure to get them before they were gone and it’s a good thing I went today…a couple of the items I wanted were already gone.
I bought a couple shelfs a few weeks ago that I haven’t been able to hang because I didn’t have the right nails. I also wasn’t able to hang my wind chimes because I didn’t enough hooks outside and since I bought two hanging plant holders I needed hooks for them as well.
No big deal, right? I was at the store so I went to the hardware aisle. Did you know there are about 45 different options for nails! I couldn’t figure it out. So, I called my brother…he was no help and suggested I go to Home Depot where “one of the men that are always around could help me”. Fine. Off to Home Depot I went.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but my last (and first) trip to the local Home Depot was a HORRIBLE experience. I went to get a rubber stopper and they didn’t have the size I needed. Would you like to know the guy’s solution? “Have your HUSBAND drill the whole larger.” Needless to say I was pissed on many levels.
So, I naively went back to Home Depot today. I found someone to help me and explained my dilemma. I guess I looked stupid because he sure talked to me like I was an idiot. Didn’t listen to a single thing that I said. I bought what he suggested but (honestly) I don’t think it’s going to work. I ended up not getting the hooks he suggested because I KNOW they won’t work. But I found something else that I think will work. We’ll see.
Now I just need to find someone who will help me put the hooks in because I know I won’t be able to do it myself.
Till later…
Oh, and people keep making these really horrible comments about more of that evil white stuff this weekend. Let’s pray for SUN.
