well, I guess it won’t be a secret any longer, now will it. LOL

My sister and my nephew, Rider, are coming to visit on Thursday. They arrive late and leave Monday afternoon. I’m only a tad excited. LOL

I talked to Rider today to find out what he wanted me to have for him at my house. It was a simple list:

  • GoGurt (blueberry)
  • String Cheese
  • Frosted Flakes
  • Cheetos (not the hot kind)

I also had to get some milk, to go with the frosted flakes. LOL (And some creamer for my coffee because I haven’t had any for two days and it’s NOT a good thing!)

I also have another secret but I can’t tell you that one because it really is a SECRET.  All I will say is that I REALLY hope it’s a secret I’ll be able to tell you someday.  Someday soon, preferably.  LOL

and I didn’t even get to enjoy it.  :(

Well, I enjoyed the weekend, but I didn’t get to enjoy the weather very much.

Saturday I had that stamp camp.  The stamp camp was great but it was indoors.

Sunday I went to church and had a youth conference immediately following.  Church was good and the youth conference was OK but, again, both were indoors.

So, one of the first nice weekends this year and I spent it INDOORS.

Sigh.

Hopefully this week is nice and next weekend is AWESOME.  My sister and nephew arrive Thursday night for the weekend.  I’m not counting down the days or anything but as of this posting I only need to wait 95 hours.  :)

Here’s to a fun Monday…

and I’m tired.  I haven’t been sleeping well lately.  Last night I didn’t fall asleep until 2AM or later.  But, then I was wide awake at 7:30 this morning.  That doesn’t cut it for me.  I seriously need more sleep than that.

Any way, I went to a stamp camp today with my friend Connie.  It was fun.  We made four or five projects.  I say four or five because I’m not sure if one project is counted as one or two projects.  Actually, I could say that we made a lot more because one project was actually seven different items in itself.

Confusing?  You should have seen me when I was there.

The first project was embossing a tin box. Yeah, I didn’t know you could stamp on metal either.  To go with that project we made three mini cards and a band for the box.  This is the one that I’m not really sure if it counts as one project or two.  So, whatever.  LOL

Next I went to the coaster frame table. Yeah, I didn’t understand the title either.  I also didn’t understand the directions and had to have someone walk me through step-by-step which was pretty funny because there were about 897 steps to this project.  But, it turned out kind of neat. :)

Next I made a box.  It was pretty simple, just a box with a lid and a band to hold it together.  Cool.

The last project was my favorite, I think.  It’s also the on that was really sort of seven different projects.  We made a magnetic note pad holder (super simple).  Then we jazzed up a pen and put a magnet on it.  Then we made four magnets.  Finally we framed a sheet of metal to hold all the magnet items.  It’s really cool (although someone made a not so nice comment that all my pieces look the same — uh HELLO it’s called COORDINATING, jeez).

I’d show pictures of my favorite project but, well, I don’t have a camera and you might be getting one for Christmas this year.  LOL

The weather ended up being AWESOME today.  Kind of a bummer that I was in the library at the high school doing my stamping.  Tomorrow I’ll be in a conference all day too so I’ll miss out on the awesome weather again.  Plus, I’m so dang tired I just want to curl up and watch a movie.  So,

My best friend, Carolyn, posts 10 Random Things for a Friday every week. Well, almost every week, she missed posting this week because she is busy being Grandma to her brand new, not even 36 HOURS old grandson, Brandon (who I think just happens to be kind of cute).

So, anyway, she gave me permission to copy her because I love reading her random Friday postings every week so much that I thought it would be perfect for my RANDOM RAMBLINGS blog. So, here’s my first entry of

RANDOM FRIDAYNESS. LOL Yeah, I’m weird.

  1. I ate Cheeto’s today. Yes, I know they aren’t on the “diet” but I’ve been craving them for over a week and gave in last night and bought a small bag. Today I ate them.
  2. My exciting Friday evening activity…filing. Can you tell me a more pathetic Friday night activity because I can’t think of one. I FILED to pass the time on Friday night. I need a life or a date.
  3. I decided I want black end tables in my living room. I even found one I like at Target today except it was $99 and I didn’t think they were worth $99 EACH. So, I’ll keep looking
  4. I still need to get my brakes replaced. I should have done it this week but, well, I procrastinated.
  5. I bought baby gifts today. (Now I just need to mail them off.)
  6. Tomorrow I’m going to a stamp camp. I’m super excited. I can’t wait to see the projects we’re going to do.
  7. The weather tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. I’m not holding my breath.
  8. I got a new phone this week. I’m only slightly excited (that’s the understatement of the year). I got a Blackberry Pearl. I’ve only wanted a smartphone for forever and I finally got one. I really think it will be good for me for work. Oh, and it’s pink.
  9. I need a massage. Seriously, I NEED a massage. This is NOT a want, it’s a NEED.
  10. I purchased the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred video. In case you don’t know Jillian is one of the trainers on Biggest Loser. I did it. I thought I was going to die.
