with this blasted heat. This is getting freaking RIDICULOUS. It’s July and all I want is for winter to get here. I absolutely HATE the heat. UGH My flowers are dying because it’s so dang hot. My body is wilting because it’s so dang hot. I can’t sleep because it’s so dang hot. I can’t stand cooking because it’s so hot. Sitting at my desk, err dining room table is unbearable from the heat. The ceiling fan is right over the table so if I turn it on, which helps, but then all my papers fly all over the place — which makes working difficult.
I brought my fax/scanner/copier/printer over here today. I want to bring my desk and desktop over but it’s so blasted hot that I can’t even stand the thought of moving something else to my second story apartment (not to mention down the first half flight of stairs before I can even get to the flight to my apartment). I can log in to my desktop from here so it’s not too bad. I just can’t print checks because I haven’t figured out how to print to my check printer when I’m logged in to my desktop remotely.
I just want this heat to GO AWAY!
But, to be fair yesterday cooled off to a somewhat decent 95 so my friend and I took her seven month old down to the river to go swimming. We thought about going to the lake that’s a mile up the road from me but we would have had to park 1/2 mile away and walked to the beach that was so packed we wouldn’t have been able to have any fun. The river was awesome except for the inconsiderate smoker teens who thought it would be fun to try to smoke their cigarettes IN the swim area at the river. My friend called today to let me know that the beach at the lake was vacant today. It would have been fun but rent, etc doesn’t get paid from me sitting on the beach.
I’ve decided, I need to win the lottery. Then I’m buying a house ON the river and a boat to go with it.
Till later….
