I guess I used to like to write. It was my little secret.

Actually it isn’t a big secret. I might not be good at it, but I do enjoy it. Well, when I was unpacking from my move I found some of my old journals and notebooks with some of my writings. Most of them are from high school but some are kind of recent. It seem silly to keep them packed away in a box. They might not be good, but they’re mine. So, I decided to start another blog to share some of my writings.

Some of the postings really share a part of my heart. Some are just assignments I had to do. Some will be poems or lyrics to songs I like. I’ll let you decipher which is which (well, I’ll tell you if it’s not mine).

Till later….I hope you enjoy from the heart

It’s not my normal complaint of late, about the weather, but it’s a rather normal one around my quiet little place.

I WANT MY OFFICE HERE NOW!!!

It’s no secret that I work from home. I love it. But, when I moved I had to wait to bring my desk and computer over until my internet was hooked up. That was a complete fiasco but it’s up now. So, why you ask isn’t my desk and the rest of my office here by now? I don’t have anyone to bring it over. :( It’s getting to be a real pain! Last week I had to drive over to my brothers at least once a day to restart the computer because the log-in connection was having a problem. My dining room is a mess because I have things spread out on my table because my file cabinet isn’t here to put things away and my desk isn’t here to work on (so I’m working on my table).

My brother was too busy to help me bring my desk over before he left on vacation. He’s one week into his two (I seriously hope it’s ONLY two) week vacation. I’m so stinking irritated right now that you can’t even imagine it. I just drove over to my brothers to restart the computer and when I got home it’s still NOT WORKING. So, I have drive back AGAIN to figure out what’s wrong.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s just over a mile away (thank goodness) but when you have to stop working and drive over there for something simple like restarting a stupid computer it’s a real pain.

I just want MY desk and MY computer HERE at MY house. Is that really an unreasonable request? I know, some of you are thinking “do it yourself”. I can’t. The desk is huge and I don’t know how to take it apart or put it together in order to do it myself. Besides, I’m just not strong enough to move it by myself.

All this work I NEED to be doing isn’t getting finished because I keep having to stop because MY DESK AND COMPUTER aren’t here.

This is going to be a LONG LONG week. :(

Till later…

again. Seriously. I am. What, you don’t believe me? OK, I haven’t narrowed it down to the exact city, but right now I’m leaning between Barrow, Alaska and North Pole, Alaska. Today Barrow is getting my vote. But, North Pole has some good points too. All I know is that I’m sick and tired of this heat!!!

Seriously, though, I want to go to North Pole, Alaska for vacation. (I checked the ticket prices, though…not happening any time soon.) Hmm…..lottery fund. :)

Whaaahhh (can you hear me crying?). When’s it going to cool down? They keep saying it will but it only feels like it’s getting hotter. And, according to the weather reports it’s going to get worse this week. Here’s the forecast for Thursday. I’m serious, usually they have a cute picture of a sun or a snowflake (yeah, wishful thinking) but, no, Thursday they have a boiling thermometer. Accuweather actually says “Mostly sunny and very hot”. Great. Thanks.

Till later… (if I don’t melt first)

with this blasted heat. This is getting freaking RIDICULOUS. It’s July and all I want is for winter to get here. I absolutely HATE the heat. UGH My flowers are dying because it’s so dang hot. My body is wilting because it’s so dang hot. I can’t sleep because it’s so dang hot. I can’t stand cooking because it’s so hot. Sitting at my desk, err dining room table is unbearable from the heat. The ceiling fan is right over the table so if I turn it on, which helps, but then all my papers fly all over the place — which makes working difficult.

I brought my fax/scanner/copier/printer over here today. I want to bring my desk and desktop over but it’s so blasted hot that I can’t even stand the thought of moving something else to my second story apartment (not to mention down the first half flight of stairs before I can even get to the flight to my apartment). I can log in to my desktop from here so it’s not too bad. I just can’t print checks because I haven’t figured out how to print to my check printer when I’m logged in to my desktop remotely.

I just want this heat to GO AWAY!

But, to be fair yesterday cooled off to a somewhat decent 95 so my friend and I took her seven month old down to the river to go swimming. We thought about going to the lake that’s a mile up the road from me but we would have had to park 1/2 mile away and walked to the beach that was so packed we wouldn’t have been able to have any fun. The river was awesome except for the inconsiderate smoker teens who thought it would be fun to try to smoke their cigarettes IN the swim area at the river. My friend called today to let me know that the beach at the lake was vacant today. It would have been fun but rent, etc doesn’t get paid from me sitting on the beach.

I’ve decided, I need to win the lottery. Then I’m buying a house ON the river and a boat to go with it.

Till later….

We had our family reunion last week. We had family drive from California, Minnesota, and Alaska to visit. It was a great time. Some family I hadn’t seen in 17 years — wow. (My aunt hadn’t seen him in about 30 years.) My cousin and his wife were traveling from Alaska to Michigan where he’s stationed next and the timing was perfect for them to stop here.

I won’t bore you with tons of pictures of our reunion — just this one. :) That’s me with my three kiddos. :) My nephew Rider – 3 1/2, my nephew Kyle 6 1/2 months, and my niece Ally 3 (her birthday was last week). This was at the lake after we had a family dinner at a nice restaurant on the waterfront.

I’m going to get that picture printed for my wall in my apartment. :) What a cute bunch. LOL
