You asked…here they are. I don’t know where my camera cable it and I’m not 100% sure where my camera is so these were taken with my cell phone. Sorry the lighting isn’t that great, but you get the idea. :)

Here’s my bedroom…you can see my bathroom in the background.

Here’s the guest bathroom.

There’s my kitchen. You can’t really see it but on top of the cabinets I have my teapot collection. It looks really nice. :)

From the kitchen looking into the dining and living room. Obviously it’s box city right now. Not sure if you can see my “couch” in the background. LOL It’s my camping chair sitting in front of my TV that’s sitting on my rubbermaid box of winter clothes. But, it works for now. LOL

My front porch. Yes, those are my plants. I even plan on keeping them alive (there’s a reason they’re all on the front porch and not on the back balcony. LOL Notice the cool welcome mat??

That will be my office, right now it’s storage of stuff I’m not ready to deal with yet. LOL You can see the closet on the side where my washer and dryer are.

So…there’s my little space. :)

To some this may seem strange, others may relate. This past weekend I went to California for a goddaughter’s graduation. It was the first trip I’ve taken in as long as I can remember that I didn’t bring my laptop with me. I had planned on at least checking my e-mail while I was gone (logging in to my office computer) but technology was against me and I couldn’t do that. You know what, it was NICE! The e-mail wasn’t too horrible when I got back, thank goodness.

The graduation was so nice. My goddaughter graduated a year early (three years of high school instead of four) with her brother and her boyfriend of three years. Their graduating class was 14. (Yes, you read that right.) The ceremony was really nice. Each graduate did a portion of the service and when it came time to give out diplomas the principal took time so each parent could get the pictures they wanted. There’s something to say about small graduations.

Since I was in town I got to celebrate my aunts birthday with her, a couple days early but we got to celebrate. That was a lot of fun! :)

I also celebrated Father’s Day with my dad a week early. We just pretended everyone else got the date wrong. LOL :) It was a fun day. We went to church, brunch, and then the movies. Then my dad and I went to dinner by ourselves (no one else was hungry — and I really wanted yummy tacos LOL).

My family stars arriving in 19 days for our family reunion here. It’s going to be so much fun!!! :)

Oh, and guess what I’m doing today! :) I have an appointment in three hours to sign the papers on my new apartment!!! :) Pretty cool. I guess I’m starting to move tomorrow. Crazy if you ask me but my brother (aka mover) wants to go camping this weekend so I have to do it tomorrow and Thursday or I’ll be doing it myself.

Till later…

Hello, it’s been a while,
I know.

Someone told me I need to post to my blog more often so I
Am determined to do just that.
Right now I’m trying to think of something to tell you other than talking
About the awesome lightning storm we
Had last night.

So, I guess I’ll just tell you about the lightning storm. :) This past weekend we had beautiful weather, in the mid to high 90’s. But, of course, that couldn’t hold out so when the cold front moved in last night it brought with it a beautiful show.

I was standing outside after youth group talking with some of the kids and other leaders when it started. Not too exciting at first, just some pretty flashes. When I got in my car it started getting a little more active. On my way home it went from clear to a torrential downpour then clear again over about a 1/4 mile span. Pretty crazy.

I got home and in the house then the real show started. Flashes of light that forced oohs and ahhs and booms of thunder that made you silent. I sat with my sister-in-law and her mom for a while watching the show. It was really spectacular. The lights flickered once and, unfortunately, our internet connection went down (which is why I didn’t write this last night).

The rain started part way through the show and mad did it come down.

So, that was my lighting show experience last night. I think it was the biggest lightning storm I’ve seen.

Till later…
