As you can see from my last post (over a month ago) it’s been a LONG month. I went to California for a work conference which was AWESOME. I’ve been busier than I know how to handle (finally getting caught up and hired someone to help take some of my load). So here’s the main scoop:

My computer pooped out on me. I had to reformat the hard drive a couple weeks ago. It was extremely stressful but I was rather successful at it. I had a full back-up of the desktop and went for it. I lost NOTHING. Can you believe it? Well, I shouldn’t say nothing because the back-up I’d made of my e-mail program didn’t restore successfully. Luckily I had a somewhat recent back-up on my laptop so it wasn’t too bad. I thought I lost one program but found out yesterday that I did have the license key and was able to download it. So, a huge stress and missed work (i.e. no billable time) but my computer is working now.

My dad has been doing a little better. He was pretty sick this weekend but otherwise has been doing OK. My sister, Tami, found out that she’s a match to donate her kidney to him so they are doing the testing to get him ready for a second transplant. They are planning it for the end of summer. So, sometime in August or September I’ll be headed to California for a while to help take care of my dad and sister and be there to support them.

Our family reunion is coming up soon. We have a ton of family coming in from all over. It will be the first time most of them have visited us in Idaho. I’m really excited. They’ll be here the first week of July. Our big plans are for 4th of July. We’ll do the parade downtown, then spend the day at Brian and Faye’s then go back downtown in the late evening to scope out a spot for the fireworks show. I’m just so excited to see everyone and show them around my town.

And want to here my BIGGEST NEWS? I’m moving!!! Yep, it’s finally happening. LOL I decided to get an apartment. It’s about a mile north of my brothers. Exact location I wanted. I’ll be living by myself. (Which will be nice — I can work when I want without worrying about bothering other people!!) It’s a two bedroom place. Plenty of room for me and company (hint, hint). It’ll be fun to unpack all my boxes (finally — they’ve been in storage for almost six years now). I can’t even remember what all I have. It’s going to be like Christmas.

The place should be ready around June 12. And, because I’ve had quite a few people ask here’s the link to my amazon wish list . When I get in the apartment I’ll share pictures.

I’m located at the base of the mountains with a view of the mountains out the front and a view of a park out the back. I’m less than two miles to the beach (and boat launch) at the lake. It seems like June 12 will never get here.
