So, the time is quickly approaching for me to get my own place. I know, how silly is that — I should already have my own place? But, I’ve been lucky to be able to live with my brother and sisiter-in-law since I moved to Idaho to get my feet wet and figure out this new state. Well, now it’s time to move on. So, I’ve been talking to my realtor, looking online, and today I even e-mailed the mortgage broker for an appointment. I’m ready for it, but it’s still very nervewracking to think about taking on this amount of debt. But, at the same time I’m excited that I’ll have a place that’s MINE. I’m hoping to be completely moved in before my family comes at Christmas so Tami & Rider can stay with me.

Now come my psycho-analysis stuff. See, taking on this committment means I’m saying that my business is “FOR REAL”. I know, it is for real. But, it means that I’m saying I’m confident enough in my abilities and myself that I know I can pay a mortgage. But, you know what, I have to. I don’t have any other options at this point. I CAN’T justify to myself paying rent to someone for an apartment when the rent is going to be the same as a mortgage payment. I want a house, I want a yard, I want a place that is MINE. I’ll have it, God willing. And, I’ll even show you pictures.

But, you know the really exciting part? When this happens I get to unpack all my stuff!!! It’s all been packed away for five years and it’s going to be so much fun unpacking it! I’ll have my dishes and my other kitchen stuff. I’ll get to put MY bathroom together. Use my bedroom furniture that I purchased and have never been able to use because it hasn’t fit in my last two bedrooms. Oh, I’m so excited.

I love free books. I few months back someone recommended this site to me. I signed up (because it’s FREE) and have loved it ever since.

Here’s the deal, you register and list some old books you have laying around. Books that you’ve already read and enjoyed but don’t plan on reading again. You know, all those books that are collecting dust on your bookshelf because you don’t know what else to do with them. Then you can start requesting books from other members. They’ll mail them to you for FREE. You get credits when someone requests your book (you pay to mail it to them) to request more books. I have to tell you, I absolutely LOVE this site! It allows me to get some FREE reading materials and gives me something useful to do with my old books. It’s great.

I know, you’re wondering why I’m sharing this with you. Well, there are two reasons. One, I want you to try it because I know you’ll love it too. And two, if you sign up with me as a referrer I’ll get some book credits. LOL (I know, seems like a catch) but truthfully, I think you’ll like it which is the main reason I’m sharing it with you.

Well, let me explain. I used to have a charm/jewelry business. That’s what this site was for…telling your charming tales through charms. LOL Pretty cute, huh. Well, the company I was affiliated with has, well, not done so well lately. I haven’t a clue what’s going on with them, but I’m assuming they are on their way to ceasing to exist (if they aren’t already there). Luckily I was smart enough to get rid of the majority of my inventory before they bellied-up. So, it’s no bother for me.

But, I still have this site and I actually like it so… I’m moving my personal blog here because I just don’t want it on my business site any longer.

So, there you go…the reason Random Ramblins and Charming Tales has a new home.

So, yesterday a friend had a garage sale. I happened to call another friend, well, actually I called her son…OK, I called her to talk to her sons about how their first week of school was and found out that they were all at this other friends house for her garage sale. My plans for the day, at that point, involved staring at the wall so I figured what the heck, I’ll go help out at the garage sale. It was fun. Got some crap, I mean very useful items, and spent the day with friends. What more could you want for a Saturday (well, I could do without the slight redness on my neck but the rest was good).

So, in the early afternoon my friend and I were sitting there waiting for the next drove of people to show up when she bust out with “want to go to Canada for dinner?” Huh? OK, that’s one I haven’t heard before. LOL So, we talk and her ex-sister-in-law was here visiting and they were going to Canada for dinner (yeah, I live THAT far north). So, I thought, why not.

Unfortunately we talked and realized you actually need your birth certificate to cross the border into Canada and she didn’t know where hers was and mine is someone in my room but I’m not 100% sure where so we couldn’t go. But, still…Want to go to Canada for dinner?

We did end up going out for dinner just the two of us (kind of like a date only with no guys LOL and us spending the whole night saying it would have been a better “date” if there were guys LOL). Then we walked around downtown for a bit…well pretty much went to see if we could find the hot security guard at the resort then weave, I mean walk along the pier around the resort. (I say weave because the blasted thing floats and the water was choppy so it bounced and wobbled the whole way making me a tad green in the stomach.) We ended up going inside the resort to sit in the lounge for a bit. I think I’m going to start doing that more often LOL.

So, not a bad weekend.

I also retook part 3 of my certification test today. I’m more confident with it this time. So, I might be giving a big shout-out to myself in the next couple days that I passed. This time I’m not telling anyone (except those that read this — which I’m thinking is me LOL) so I don’t have a million (OK two) people asking me if I passed every day and having to admit if I didn’t. But, I am more confident this time. However, I still say the test needs to be redone!
