So, I went to church tonight…yeah, I know it’s Friday night but we’re going out of town on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl with friends so I went to the service they had tonight. I went to a new church this week. I met a new friend at my Bible study on Monday night and she invited me to her church this week. I went Wednesday night and helped with the Junior High youth group. It was AWESOME!!! I had a great time so I went back tonight for worship.

You know what, I really like the church. It’s different from what I’m used to. It’s HUGE. They have four services and are getting ready to start a fifth service. No joking there were at least 500 people in the one service tonight and I seriously think that number is way low. (OK, so I didn’t think that number was accurate so I did some research online…it seems this church averages attendance of 5000 each week…so I guess the number was more like the 1000 I wanted to say at first but was afraid to.) They average 300 junior highers each week at their youth group. I was speechless watching that many junior highers in one room and knowing it’s a normal weekly occurance. I never, ever imagined myself going to a megachurch but I felt something there. So, I’m going to see what happens. They describe themselves as a bunch of small churches that worship together. They have over 600 small groups so hopefully I’ll find one that fits me perfect.

If God wants me there then He’ll make it clear to me. I’m just going to keep listening to what He has to say on the subject. :)

But, anyways, when I was driving home from church I got a craving for a Root Beer Float. Now, that may seem somewhat normal to most people but I think I’ve honestly had like 2 root beer floats in the last 10 years. So, this craving isn’t normal. But, as I was driving home with “My Town” blaring on the radio I knew exactly where to go and how to get there. I went to A&W to get a Root Beer Float. :) Now, this may seem small and insignificant but I was so excited! As I was driving down the highway singing along to “My Town” I realized, this is MY TOWN. And, I like that feeling. It feels like home. :) It’s so exciting to be able to decide to go somewhere and know how to get there and how to take the back roads that have less lights to get there. LOL I went on google maps the other day to get directions to the church and I didn’t even have to use them for most of the trip….I used my own directions because I knew it was quicker. :)

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot the most exciting news. We have a new paging system in the house. :) Ally has learned that if she stands at the top of the stairs and yells (really loudly mind you) “ANEL, ANEL, ANEL” that I’ll come talk to her…usually stopping work to go just stare at the wonder that is that amazing little girl that KNOWS MY NAME!!! :) She also loves to crawl down the stairs and come visit me in the office. She knows exactly where to find me and know that she has her own batch of toys she can play with in here — I’m also learning to keep the rest of the stuff set back from the edge where she can’t reach it. :)

So, come on up and I’ll show you around MY TOWN! :)

“ANEL” is going to bed. LOL Till later….
