Wow, it’s been a while. I’m in Idaho for good now. Well, except if I decide to take a vacation or anything. LOL I got here last Tuesday, the house was extremely cold (from being closed up for two weeks) but I’ve perfected the fire building and got it warmed up pretty fast. All that snow that was on the ground when I left is gone. As in there is nothing left. As in it’s green outside. Welcome to the great WHITE north, NOT! But, it’s still gorgeous. I love it more than ever.

When I got back last week there was a message from a lady at the church I had visited. I called her back and we had a really nice talk. I went to the church on Sunday and ask around for her and she found me. (I was kind of a bulldog on Sunday MAKING people talk to me LOL but it worked.) I sat with her during church and she introduced me to some people. She also invited me over on Thursday. I’m so excited!!

Funny thing happened yesterday. I was working all morning and it rained off and on with a few snowflakes falling. I had to leave to go to my chiropractor appointment and when I went outside it was wet but nothing on the ground but a few puddles of water. I drove down the block (1/2 mile) and turned the corner and got maybe ½ mile from the house and had to do a double take…there was snow EVERYWHERE. It was so weird to see snow on the ground and be so close to home where there was none.

Today we went to visit some friends north of here near Sandpoint which is near Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced pon-der-ray). It was my first time visiting them and man did they ever get snow last night. They got so much that they had no power when we got to the house. :( On the way up it was so amazing, I saw my first bald eagle. That is one spectacular looking bird. WOW! Is all I can say. I can’t wait to see more of them.

The area they live in is spectacular. I can’t wait to visit them in the spring and summer. It’s going to be so much fun going out on the lake and seeing the area. Sandpoint is a neat little town with some interesting shops that I look forward to visiting. We’ve already made summer plans. LOL My brother wants to get a pontoon boat and these friends have a ski boat and the wife’s brother has jet skis. We can get the boats into the water a couple minutes from their house and tour the lake with the boats and jet skis. There are places to dock your boats along the lake to stop at restaurants. It’s going to be a fun summer. And, you know what I like? Talking about summer…looking forward to unpacking my shorts (which I never used to pack away LOL) and looking forward to a change in the weather.

So, I’ve been busy so it’s been difficult keeping up on my blog. I’ll try to do better. :)

Till later…
