This morning, Brian’s friend Scott left to fly back to California. Faye and Brian had a lot to do to get ready to leave tomorrow to go back to also so I played with Allyson most of the day. The internet was up and running so Ally and I chatted with Tami & Teri online for a while. We have a microphone but neither of them have one so it was sort of a one-sided conversation. I think they enjoyed listening to Ally, though. Hopefully they’ll get a microphone of their own soon so we can have two-way conversations.

It really was another lazy day. A little unpacking, a lot of playing with Ally.

At one point Brian walked in with a strange lady following him. It was the neighbor lady. She’d brought a plate of cookies over. She lives across the street with her husband and has lived in that house for 46 years (I think). She was welcoming us as neighbors and it was so neat. After living in California where I barely saw my neighbors let alone talk with them it was thrilling to have someone bring us a plate of cookies to welcome us. After she left Faye & I looked at each other and said in unison “THIS is why we moved to Idaho”. LOL
